Credit Admin Officer - Banking jobs in Dubai

Job Title: Credit Admin Officer

Salary: AED 14K - 17K

Job Purpose:
To minimise the credit risk of the Bank by ensuring an independent control over the credit process, ensuring compliance of all internal procedures and operational controls.
To provide an efficient and high quality centralised credit administration/documentation service

Review Limit Advice: Study the limit advices approved by Head Office and have a clear picture in mind regarding the constitutional documents required, contents of facility letter and list of security documents to be obtained.
Execution of Limit Advice: Verify the maintenance of new review date and /or reduction of limit if any, in the system ; ensure that the facility letter and security documents are prepared strictly as per terms of approval and forward the same to the Units and create a record of the same in Pending Activation File.
Limit Activation: After receipt of the offer letter and all required security documents executed by the customer from the Unit, ensure that necessary accounts are opened /limits are loaded at account levels in the System to enable the customers to commerce utilization of the new and /or increased limits and simultaneously ensuring that facility arrangements fee is recovered from the customer and interest rates and other tariffs are correctly recorded.
Balance Confirmation: Check are sign of f the balance confirmation letters provided too the customers auditors for the audit purpose and ensure that the Bank’s charges are recovered from the customers.
Lodgement of Securities: Ensure that the details of security documents provided by the customer are properly recorded in the ”Record of Security Documents lodged in safe Custody Forms” before its lodgement in safe custody.
Approval of TTs: Approve TTs raised b various units for loan disbursement/rescheduling; invoice discounting after ensuring that they are all with in the approved terms and conditions.

Monthly returns –loans against Deposits. Ensure reported correctly.
Quarterly Central Bank Returns of Dubai, Ensuring timely reporting of returns.
Assisting Asst. Manager Centralised Credit Administration (CCA) in submission of credit related internal management reports.
Assist other staff in their work in case of need


Education level

Graduate, preferably in Banking and Accounting

Professional Qualifications

Banking Diploma preferred

Background and Experience

Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience with reputed bank in credit administration and documentation and all other credit admin function. Working experience with other departments (i.e. operation and L/Cs ) will be added advantage.

4) Credit Admin controller corporate – Arabic speaking only

Location: Masafi, Fujairah
Salary: AED 16K- 21K + Bonus + Benefits
Reports to: Manager Credit Admin


Arabic speaking preferred, open to non UAE experience.

Job Purpose:
To ensure effective delivery of centralized credit administration functions in compliance with internal objectives and guidelines as well as external regulations, to the full satisfaction of both internal and external customers and to assist Manager Credit Administration in carrying out various functional responsibilities.


Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities


* Act as a primary link in co-ordinating credit administrative and related operational issues with Corporate Credit Units.
* Co-ordinate with various departments in matters related to credit administration functions.
* Liaise with lawyers on various matters related to documentation issues, etc.
* Responsible for all daily operations of Centralized Credit Administration .
* Approve Transaction Tickets raised by Units for disbursement/rescheduling of Medium/Short Term Loans, after ensuring that the loans are within approved limits.
* Authorized signatory to customer facility letters.
* Monitor various reports i.e. Overdrafts Excess Report; Past Due Advances Report; Classified Accounts Report; Pending Documents Report, etc. and ensure to meet deadline for despatch to relevant authorities.
* Approving of system maintenance pertaining to : Loading of Limits; Tariffs: Interest Rates; etc. upon completion of documentation and compliance with Head Office Credit Dept., approval Terms
* Checking of security documents received from Units to ensure that documentation has been properly completed and authorize completed documents for lodgement in safe custody.
* Joint custodian of all security documents lodged in safe custody.
* Review of timely despatch of facility offer letters and security documents to Unit with relevant comments and observation.
* Supervision of the LBD drawer report system
* Supervision of reporting of customer data under the U.A.E Central Bank , Credit Risk Bureau System.
* Authorising the release of security documents from safe custody as and when approval is received from Head Office Credit Dept.
* Various other matters related with credit administration functions and tasks assigned by Manager Credit Administration.
* Liaise with U.A.E Central Bank with matters related to reporting data of customers
* Attending to enquiries/requirements of external and internal auditors
* Attending to providing information to Central Bank auditors on credit related matters during time of audit
* Providing various credit related information to Management as and when required.
* Monitor all deferrals and ensure timelines for rectification of documentation are met.
* Monitor covenants and issue exception reports where required.



Education level

University degree in Commerce, Finance or Banking

Professional Qualifications

Preferably a Banking Diploma

Work Experience

Minimum 8 years of banking experience with good credit related background, of which at least 5 years should be as an Officer in Credit Administration department of a Bank.

Specialist Skills/Competencies Required for the Role

·Good knowledge of banking operations with strong leadership skills.
·Good command of English and communication skills.
·Good PC skill.
·Good understanding of legal and regulatory requirements, security documentation and credit processes.
